£60-70k + benefits

An established London law firm is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join its newly established Asian Desk.

The successful candidate will advise an international client base, primarily comprising individuals and investors based in China, on the acquisition and financing of residential property across London and the South East. Transactions will range from investment properties and second homes to high-value residential purchases.

Working closely with senior lawyers, you will handle a broad residential property caseload and play an important role in developing the firm's services and relationships within the Chinese market.

The role will include:
  • Residential property acquisitions and disposals
  • High-value and prime residential transactions
  • Investment properties and second homes
  • Leasehold and freehold matters
  • New-build and off-plan purchases
  • Property finance and secured lending
  • Advising overseas clients throughout the conveyancing process
  • Working with agents, lenders, brokers and other professional advisers
  • Supporting the continued development of the Asian Desk

Candidates should have:
  • Between two and five years' PQE
  • Strong experience across a range of residential property matters
  • Experience of property finance and mortgage-funded transactions
  • The ability to manage transactions independently while working collaboratively with senior colleagues
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese

Experience advising overseas investors or clients based in China would be particularly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing practice, work with an established international client base and help shape the growth of a newly formed Asian Desk.
