Canary Wharf, London | Minimum 12 months' experience | £31,000 to £34,000
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join its property team in Canary Wharf.
The role will support two residential property fee earners across the full conveyancing process, from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and detail-focused paralegal who can take responsibility for their work and progress matters independently within a busy conveyancing environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting residential property sales and purchases from instruction through to post-completion
- Opening files and completing initial compliance and due diligence requirements
- Preparing contract documentation and supporting title investigations
- Ordering searches and reviewing mortgage documentation
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other parties
- Assisting with enquiries and progressing transactions towards exchange
- Preparing completion statements and other financial statements
- Setting up and managing completions
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns
- Preparing and submitting AP1 applications
- Monitoring Land Registry applications and responding to requisitions
- Managing file closure and archiving procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and updating the case management system
- Supporting two fee earners with the efficient progression of their caseloads
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 12 months' experience within residential conveyancing
- Experience supporting matters across the full conveyancing process from initial file set up to post-completion
- A good understanding of pre-exchange, completion and post-completion procedures
- Experience preparing completion statements, SDLT returns and AP1 applications
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet important deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, reliable and collaborative working style
- Confidence using conveyancing case management systems
The position is based at the firm's Canary Wharf office, and applicants must be able to work from this location.
The firm offers a salary of £31,000 to £34,000, depending on experience, together with the opportunity to join an established residential property team and continue developing their conveyancing experience.
