An established, Legal 500-profiled commercial law firm is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Residential Property Paralegal to join its busy and expanding property department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with at least 12 months' residential property experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic legal environment.

The Role

Working alongside experienced solicitors and partners, and with support from the department's administrator and secretary, you will assist with a broad range of residential property matters, including:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages and transfers of equity
  • Property searches, title investigations and due diligence
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
  • Managing completion and post-completion requirements
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, brokers, lenders and other solicitors
  • Supporting the wider team with the effective progression of transactions

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • At least 12 months' experience within a residential or mixed-property department
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion
  • Experience managing property searches, Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
  • Strong organisational and file-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines
  • Professional and confident communication skills
  • Strong client-care and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience liaising directly with clients, agents, brokers and lenders
  • A good understanding of post-completion processes and Land Registry requirements
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and legal case-management systems
  • A proactive, positive and team-focused approach

Experience supporting commercial property transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.

What's on Offer
  • A competitive salary of circa £35,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working
  • Exposure to high-quality and varied residential property work
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Direct contact with clients and other professionals
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced property lawyers
  • Clear scope for progression within a growing and ambitious firm
