London | £34,000 to £38,000| Hybrid Working
An established, Legal 500-profiled commercial law firm is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Residential Property Paralegal to join its busy and expanding property department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with at least 12 months' residential property experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic legal environment.
The Role
Working alongside experienced solicitors and partners, and with support from the department's administrator and secretary, you will assist with a broad range of residential property matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- Property searches, title investigations and due diligence
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Managing completion and post-completion requirements
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, brokers, lenders and other solicitors
- Supporting the wider team with the effective progression of transactions
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least 12 months' experience within a residential or mixed-property department
- A good understanding of the conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion
- Experience managing property searches, Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Strong organisational and file-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines
- Professional and confident communication skills
- Strong client-care and relationship-building abilities
- Experience liaising directly with clients, agents, brokers and lenders
- A good understanding of post-completion processes and Land Registry requirements
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and legal case-management systems
- A proactive, positive and team-focused approach
Experience supporting commercial property transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.
