An established and financially secure Legal 500-ranked law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Managing Associate to help develop its successful Real Estate practice.
Founded in the 1940's, the firm has built a strong and stable platform, owns its principal London office and is recognised by The Legal 500 across several real estate disciplines. It acts for businesses, investors, lenders, developers and private clients in the UK and internationally.
This is a strategic appointment for an experienced property lawyer who has developed a reasonable client following and is looking for the support, resources and autonomy to build a larger practice and progress towards partnership.
The Opportunity
Applications are welcomed from lawyers specialising in:
- Commercial property
- Residential property
- A combination of commercial and residential property
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and developing their own matters and client relationships while working collaboratively with the firm's wider property teams.
Depending on your experience, your practice may include:
- Commercial and residential acquisitions and disposals
- Investment and development transactions
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Property portfolio and asset-management work
- Property finance and refinancing
- High-value residential transactions
- New-build and development work
- Transactions for investors, developers, businesses and high-net-worth individuals
The Candidate
The firm is looking for an experienced property solicitor who can demonstrate:
- Strong technical expertise in commercial property, residential property or both
- An established client following capable of generating a reasonable level of work
- A track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial approach
- The ability to manage matters independently while contributing to the wider team
- An interest in business development, networking and expanding an existing practice
- Strong communication, leadership and client-care skills
- The ambition and ability to progress towards partnership
The firm is open-minded about the precise composition of the candidate's practice and will consider lawyers with predominantly commercial, residential or mixed-property experience.
