The Opportunity
The firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to lead its West Wickham conveyancing team.
This is a senior role offering responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of an established team. You will act as the principal point of contact for technical queries, supervise and mentor colleagues, handle complex transactions and manage your own caseload.
The role would suit an experienced Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner who enjoys combining fee earning with team leadership, business development and client relationship management.
The Role
You will:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of conveyancers and legal assistants.
- Act as the principal technical resource for the office.
- Manage complex residential property transactions.
- Maintain your own caseload from instruction through to exchange and completion.
- Ensure matters are progressed proactively and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of client care, communication and regulatory compliance.
- Develop relationships with estate agents, brokers and other professional referrers.
- Support local marketing, networking and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental strategy, financial performance and future growth.
- Promote collaboration and cross-referrals across the wider firm.
- Monitor billing, financial controls and the profitability of matters.
About You
You will ideally:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years' PQE in residential property.
- Have experience leading, supervising or mentoring a conveyancing team.
- Possess excellent technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex matters.
- Be comfortable managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Have an established professional profile or referral network in West Wickham, Bromley or the surrounding area.
- Demonstrate a successful record of business development and relationship building.
- Have excellent organisational, communication and client-care skills.
- Take a commercial, collaborative and approachable style of leadership.
- Be enthusiastic about contributing to the future development of the department.
