Lead, Build and Grow an Established Employment Practice
IRG Law is working with an ambitious and well-established regional law firm that has successfully expanded its London presence and is continuing to invest in strategic growth.
The firm is seeking an experienced Employment Partner or Head of Employment to play a key role in the next phase of development of its Employment practice. The department already enjoys an excellent reputation and is recognised for delivering commercial, pragmatic advice to its clients. It is regarded as a key growth area within the firm's wider business strategy.
The Opportunity
This role offers a rare opportunity to join a firm where Employment is already established but where there remains significant scope to shape strategy, drive growth and build market profile.
You will:
- Lead and develop the Employment practice
- Further strengthen the firm's presence within the London market
- Drive business development initiatives and strategic growth
- Develop and deepen existing client relationships
- Work closely with Corporate, Commercial, Real Estate and Private Client teams on cross-disciplinary matters
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers
- Help shape the future direction of the department and wider firm
The practice advises a strong commercial client base across the full spectrum of employment law, with a particular focus on respondent-side work and corporate support matters.
About You
You are likely to be:
- An Employment Partner, Salaried Partner, Legal Director or Head of Department
- 10+ years' PQE with a strong private practice background
- Well connected within the London and South East market
- Experienced in leading teams and developing lawyers
- Commercially focused with a proven track record of business development
- Able to demonstrate a portable client following or strong referral network
- Looking for a platform that combines entrepreneurial freedom with firm-wide support
