Location: London or Brighton
Salary: £90,000 to £130,000 + excellent package
An established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an existing Partner or experienced senior solicitor to join its expanding Corporate department in either London or Brighton.
The team advises UK and international businesses, investors and entrepreneurs across the full range of corporate matters. Its work includes mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, private equity transactions, joint ventures, investments, corporate reorganisations and governance matters. The practice is recognised by both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Partner or an ambitious senior lawyer seeking a genuine route to partnership, greater responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of a successful corporate practice.
The Role
You will undertake a varied and high-quality caseload while helping to develop the department and its client base.
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Leading mergers, acquisitions, disposals and other corporate transactions.
- Advising on management buyouts and private equity-backed transactions.
- Handling joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and equity investments.
- Advising directors, shareholders and businesses on corporate governance and company law matters.
- Managing corporate reorganisations and restructuring projects.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with UK and international clients.
- Identifying opportunities for cross-referrals across the wider firm.
- Supporting the supervision and development of junior lawyers.
- Contributing to the strategic direction and continued growth of the Corporate department.
The Candidate
You will be an existing Partner or an experienced senior corporate solicitor with:
- Extensive knowledge of company law and corporate transactions.
- Experience managing complex matters with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
- A pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
- A proven interest in business development and growing client relationships.
- The ability to supervise, mentor and support junior colleagues.
- The ambition to play a visible role in developing an expanding corporate practice.
An established client following or strong network of professional contacts would be advantageous, although applications are also encouraged from senior lawyers with a demonstrable ability to develop new business.
