IRG Law is working with a modern and growing law firm seeking a Commercial and Residential Property Solicitor to join its established property practice in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with approximately 2-4 years' PQE to work closely with a highly experienced Senior Property Partner, assisting with a broad range of commercial and residential property transactions.
The role role has been created to support the continued development of the practice and offers exposure to varied work, direct client contact and close supervision from a senior lawyer with extensive property experience.
The Role
You will assist the Senior Partner with a varied caseload of commercial and residential property matters, gradually taking greater responsibility for transactions as your experience develops.
The work is likely to include:
- Acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial property
- Commercial leases, acting for landlords and tenants
- Lease renewals, assignments and underlettings
- Licences for alterations and other property management matters
- Property investment transactions
- Secured lending and refinancing
- Development land and related agreements
- Residential sales and purchases
- High-value freehold and leasehold residential transactions
- Residential investment property
- Transfers of equity and remortgages
- Property work for companies, investors, developers and private clients
- Supporting the property aspects of wider corporate and commercial transactions
The Candidate
The firm is looking for a capable and commercially minded solicitor who has gained a solid grounding in property work and is keen to develop broader experience across both commercial and residential matters.
You should have:
- Approximately 2-4 years' PQE as a solicitor in England and Wales
- Experience in commercial property, residential property or a combination of both
- A sound understanding of freehold and leasehold transactions
- Strong drafting, title-review and reporting skills
- The ability to manage your own workload while working closely with a senior lawyer
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A practical and commercially focused approach
- Strong communication and client-care skills
- A willingness to develop technically and take on increasing responsibility
