Commercial Property Solicitor  | London | PQE3-4 | £70,000 to £80,000
 
An established, Legal 500-profiled commercial law firm is looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing Property team in the City of London.
The firm advises businesses, lenders, developers, investors and individuals throughout England and Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake varied, high-quality work within a supportive and collaborative department, acting for clients across the commercial, residential and healthcare sectors.
 
The Role
You will manage your own caseload while working closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of commercial property matters.
Your work will include:
  • Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
  • Landlord and tenant matters, including new leases, renewals and licences
  • Property aspects of business sales and acquisitions
  • Development and investment transactions
  • Secured lending and refinancing matters
  • Matters involving healthcare premises and businesses
  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
The healthcare work may include acting for dentists, GP practices, pharmacies, medical centres and other healthcare providers on acquisitions, disposals and lease transactions.
 
The Candidate
 
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales
  • At least three to four years' PQE in commercial property
  • Experience managing a broad range of commercial property transactions with minimal supervision
  • A good working knowledge of landlord and tenant matters
  • Some exposure to residential conveyancing transactions
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong client-care and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and team-focused approach
 
Desirable Experience
 
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
  • Acting for healthcare professionals, practices and businesses
  • Transactions involving dental practices, GP surgeries, pharmacies or medical centres
  • Familiarity with healthcare premises and related regulatory considerations
  • Property finance and secured lending transactions
  • Development and investment work
  • An existing professional network and business development experience
  • Experience using legal case-management systems and digital working practices
